TMC's Tapas Roy Refutes BJP's Claims Of His Link To Lok Sabha Intrusion Plot 'Mastermind'
Sukanta Majumdar, the BJP's West Bengal unit chairman, released a photo showing TMC leaders Tapas Roy and Saumya Bakshi with Lalit Jha, the suspected architect of the Lok Sabha security breach.
The BJP recently posted images of Lalit Jha, an accused in the latest Parliament security breach, with Trinamool Congress politician Tapas Roy, claiming the two were close associates. In response, the TMC leader on Friday called such acts as "childish," and accused BJP of covering up of their failure, news agency ANI reported.
Speaking with media, Roy stated: "What can you prove by a photograph?...It seems that they want to cover up their failures. I do not know the miscreant - neither by name nor face. BJP MP & state president should be mature. This is childish. The photograph is from the 2020 Saraswati Puja. I am going out right now, so many people will come across and wish to have their photos clicked with me. What can be done?"

Lalit Jha, the mastermind of the attack on our Temple of Democracy, had been in close association with TMC's Tapas Roy for a long time... Isn't this proof enough for investigation into the connivance of the leader? @AITCofficial @TapasRoyAITC @abhishekaitc #shameontmc pic.twitter.com/1PIVnnbGx9

On the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror assault, two individuals, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, broke security and entered the Lok Sabha chamber via the visitors' gallery.
They emitted yellow smoke, yelled slogans, and were overpowered by MPs before being turned over to security.
A man and a woman, identified as Amol and Neelam, sprayed coloured gas and screamed slogans outside Parliament at the same time. Following then, all four people were detained.
On Thursday night, Lalit Jha, the suspected mastermind of Wednesday's Parliament security breach, surrendered to Delhi Police.
