'If Terrorism Is Rabid Dog, Pakistan Is...': Op Sindoor Delegation Tears Into Pak On Japan Visit

Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday lambasted Pakistan for its state-sponsored policies to support terrorism during his visit as part of a delegation outreach programme to Japan. 

Interacting with the Indian community in Japan, Banerjee said that India would not yield to fear and refuse to bow down to terrorism. He stressed that the world needs to come together to combat terrorism. 

"...We are here to share the message and the truth that India refuses to bow down. We will not yield to fear. I belong to a political party that is in the Opposition," he said. 

"It is in the public domain that I have said that Pakistan needs to be taught a lesson in the language they understand. If terrorism is a rabid dog, Pakistan is a wile handler," Banerjee said. 

"We first need to bring the world together to combat this wile handler. Otherwise, this wile handler will end up breeding and raising more rabid dogs. We will make sure India is responsible. All our attacks and actions have been responsible, made with precision and non-escalatory...," he added. 

'Pakistan A Theocratic State'

Communist Party of India-Marxist MP John Brittas also highlighted that the delegation has members from political parties with varying ideologies, but "we have all come here with a sense of purpose... We give priority to national interest." 

"India is a democratic country... Whereas Pakistan is a theocratic state... India wants to progress and that is why Pakistan wants to pull us down," he said. 

'India Is Unpredictable Now'

Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Jha, who is leading the delegation, commended Indian armed forces for Operation Sindoor. 

"When such incidents happen, leaders of different countries talk to each other and try to find another way... When their (Pakistan's) DGMO called and asked the Indian DGMO for a ceasefire, India agreed. We are tolerating it, but perhaps people in other places are not aware of the whole situation. So, the Indian government decided it was important to send delegations (around the world) to tell people that the Pakistani government itself is involved in this," Jha said. 

"Indian government has given the message that if we are attacked, 'hum ghar me ghus kar maarenge', this is a new normal... India is unpredictable now...," he added.
