"During the initial inquiry, we found out that the object was a rusted ball. However, we are conducting our regular drill and taking all precautions," the officer was quoted by PTI in its report.

Unattended Bag Triggered Bomb Hoax At Adarsh Nagar Railway Station

Earlier this month, a special passenger train was delayed for over 30 minutes at Adarsh Nagar railway station when an unsecured suitcase caught fire and triggered bomb fears among passengers on Monday morning.

After the police sealed off the area, a bomb disposal squad investigated the contents of the bag and discovered it was only a carpenter's tool kit, blaming the fire on friction between nails and the presence of flammable solvents within.

The 04406 Down Kurukshetra-Hazrat Nizamuddin special passenger train was detained between 9.21 a.m. and 9.45 a.m. at Adarsh Nagar railway station, according to railway officials, after a bag caught fire in the train.
