Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren in Ranchi on Wednesday and discussed a host of issues. But the talks were largely centred around a united opposition to fight the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the general elections to be held in 2024.

After his meeting with the Jharkhand Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar spoke to the media and said that the opposition parties will come together and work unitedly in the next Lok Sabha elections and produce results.

"Our talks centred around forming a united opposition and the result of the discussion will be visible in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections," said Kumar at the press meet, according to PTI.

"We will oppose attempts by the Centre to make changes in history. We will also restore Hindu-Muslim unity," Kumar, further said.
