NIA Team Inspects Twin-Blast Site In Jammu's Narwal, Collects Samples For Investigation
The NIA officials inspected the site, where the two explosions took place in Jammu's Narwal, for over an hour and collected samples before leaving.
A special team of the National Investigation Agency on Sunday reached the sites in the Narwal area of Jammu where two blasts took place on Saturday.
The team inspected the scene of the twin blasts as part of the ongoing probe into the matter, reported PTI citing officials.
The blasts, which occurred 20 minutes apart, in Narwal on the outskirts of Jammu left nine injured. According to PTI, police suspect that improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were used to carry out the twin explosions in an SUV parked in a repair shop and in a vehicle at a nearby junkyard in the Transport Nagar area.
Officials said that that the NIA team reached the spot in the morning and is likely to take over the case for a proper investigation.

NIA officials inspected the scene for over an hour and collected samples before leaving. Officials informed that senior officers of the Indian Army also examined the area again on the second day. The Indian Army officials earlier inspected the scene on Saturday, after the blasts took place.
The area is still under a security cordon and a massive sanitisation operation is underway, they said, quoted PTI.
Earlier in the day, the Army's White Knight Corps said a joint intelligence and security conference was held in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district to review the prevailing internal situation based on the assessments of participating agencies.
As per PTI report, General Officer Commanding (Ace of Spades Division) Maj Gen YS Ahlawat and General Officer Commanding (Romeo Force) Maj Gen Trivedi chaired the meeting that was attended, among others, by Deputy Inspector General of Police (Rajouri-Poonch Range) Haseeb Mughal.

A terror attack had taken place earlier this month in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir that left seven people dead and 14 injured.
