Neeraj Kundan, national secretary of the NSUI, has been appointed as the president of the students' wing of the Congress party.

NEW DELHI: Neeraj Kundan, national secretary of the NSUI, has been appointed as the president of the students' wing of the Congress party. The development comes months after Fairoz Khan had resigned as NSUI chief following the sexual harassment allegations that were levelled against him during the #MeToo campaign. Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appointed Neeraj Kundan as the new president of the National Students Union of India with immediate effect, party said in a statement. 1: Neeraj Kundan, 30, hails from Jammu and Kashmir and comes from a non-political background. 2: He is a law graduate from the University of Jammu. 3: He started his political career as a student activist. 4: Neeraj is also the state president NSUI Jammu and Kashmir and in-charge of NSUI Rajasthan. 5: Neeraj has also been made a member of the Campaign committee of the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir for upcoming the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
