New Delhi: As Union Home Minister Amit Shah receives wishes from all over on his 57th birthday, Nationalist Congress Party MP Dr. Amol R. Kolhe on Friday shared a video on Twitter with a unique message for the senior BJP leader.

In the video, the medico-cum-actor-turned politician begins by warmly greeting Amit Shah, and says that he is among few of the most prominent politicians in the country today.

The tone of the birthday message goes for a dramatic shift as NCP leader Amol Kolhe goes on to add: “On this occasion, I wish that, similar to the rates of petrol-diesel, you cross the 100-plus mark in your life. Just as the prices of edible oils are increasing continuously, may your influence also keep increasing in the same way”.

“The way the prices of cooking gas have doubled in a very short time, may your success also double at the same speed. I pray to Maa Jagdamba to give you the capability to save the common masses grappling with the blow of unemployment and exorbitant inflation... Wish you a very happy birthday,” he says in the sarcastic remarks delivered in Hindi.

The NCP MP’s words in the video message were accompanied by a chart of the gas prices and current rates of petrol-diesel which have shot past the century mark per litre, a photo of a smiling Amit Shah with a picture of a bouquet of flowers in the foreground was also shown.

While the video is increasingly gaining traction on social media, BJP’s response to the birthday message laden with critical remarks over inflation under the NDA-led union government is awaited.
