Nation To Face Lockdown Test, Relaxation For Covid 19 Free Regions After April 20

Those regions which pass the test by adhering to stricter norms for social distancing and found to be free of the deadly covid 19 virus will be allowed to resume activities after April 20.

New Delhi: In his third televised speech PM Narendra Modi has laid down guidelines for Indians putting them under test while emphasising that the lockdown which has been extended till May 3 may be relaxed after April 20 if regions are found to be free from coronavirus. Apart from seven critical guidelines mentioned in his speech PM Modi also announced that those regions which adhere to stricter norms for social distancing and found to be free of the deadly Covid 19 virus will be allowed to resume activities after April 20. Over the next one week India has to observe social distancing norms with even greater discipline.  Further, if the regions are found to be violating the stricter social distancing norms then the permission for relaxation will be taken away. " There will be very strict guidelines on how people step out of their homes. If those guidelines are not followed properly if social distancing norms are not observed and the disease starts resurfacing in those areas then, then all permission to such places will be withdrawn "

," But these permissions will be subject to continued strict observance of the social distancing norms while people elsewhere will continue to adhere to the lockdown measures as earlier. "It is important to make sure that are not careless nor should we allow anyone around us to be careless, in our collective fight against Coronavirus pandemic," Modi said in the speech. He also mentioned that besides restrictions the government has also worked on improving the health infrastructure to tackle the outbreak. On stressing the need to look after the poor, PM said, “Poor of this country is my family and the priority is to ensure that their pains are addressed. Till 20^th April every state, district, locality will be assessed and some important activities will be allowed to resume after that keeping in mind the livelihood of poor and especially, daily wage earners.”
