Mumbai SHOCKER: Cab driver stripped, brutally thrashed for not participating in ongoing strike
After abusing the driver, the miscreants made him remove his clothes and thereafter thrashed him brutally. The driver was also made to do sit-ups while holding his ears.
New Delhi: The ongoing strike by App based cabs in Mumbai turned violent on Sunday as an Ola cab driver was mercilessly thrashed by four other drivers for allegedly not participating in the strike. The incident took place when Sampat Patil, who was getting a ride from Pune to Mumbai, received a notification on his app of another pickup.
On reaching the pickup point shown in the application, Patil encountered four other cabbies who forcefully took to an office; where he was forced to hurl abuses to Ola and Uber.
After abusing the driver, the miscreants made him remove his clothes and thereafter thrashed him brutally. The driver was also made to do sit-ups while holding his ears.
Afraid of further consequences, the driver kept apologizing in front of the four cab drivers, but they didn’t listen to his apology and shot a video of the entire incident and shared it among other cab drivers, threatening “This is what we would do to you if you don’t participate in the strike”.
Jolted with the incident, Patail returned back to Pune and filed a complaint about the incident in Bhadump police stations, accompanied by his friends.
The police have arrested all four accused drivers.
