- “Narendra Modi is anti-soldier. Why is he stopping us from providing something to a dead soldier’s family when he himself doesn’t provide proper food to soldiers?”
- His party has alleged that the newly appointed Delhi LG had rejected CM’s decision to give Rs 1 cr to family of an ex-soldier who committed suicide on technical grounds.
- 65-year-old Army veteran Ram Kishan Grewal had consumed poison in November last year on the lawns of a government building in the heart of Delhi. According to his friends, Grewal, who served in the Army and later the the Defence Security Corps for 30 years, had been upset over the OROP issue for sometime.
- Baijal reportedly has returned the file on Grewal's compensation saying he is a citizen of Haryana and not Delhi. The Kejriwal government is not authorized to give him compensation.
