Modi government running a ‘daman chakra’ against AAP: Kejriwal says in video
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday released a 10-minute video to attack PM Narendra Modi, for allegedly trying to crush the party by targeting its MLAs and leaders.
Kejriwal said in the video that PM Modi was running a ‘daman chakra’ against AAP.
“They are running a ‘daman chakra’ against AAP. They want to crush the Aam Aadmi Party,” he said.
“10 MLAs have been arrested. Efforts are on to disqualify 21 others over office of profit allegations. Income Tax department has raised one MLA. MP Bhagwant Mann has been suspended. They are running a ‘daman chankra’,” he elaborated.
“The CBI, the Income Tax department, Delhi Police all come under them. I don’t know who is the mastermind of this. Is it Amit Shah or PM Modi or the PMO? I just know that it is coming from there,” he added.
He raised apprehensions over PM Modi’s style of ruling.
“He is decisions in anger. This has got me thinking whether the country is in the right hands or not,” he said.
The officials of the Income Tax department on Wednesday morning conducted a raid at AAP legislator Kartar Singh Tanwar's residence in south Delhi, a party leader said.
"Just in: Income Tax raid on Chhatarpur MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar. Modiji had unleashed Central Bureau of Investigation, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Delhi Police earlier, now IT too, Aam Aadmi Party won't bow down, won't bend," Dilip Pandey said in a tweet.
"Disheartened by past performance, Modiji seems to be improving his strike rate now. Almost an AAP MLA everyday, to keep democratic principles away," the leader said in another tweet.
Referring to the raid, another party leader Sanjay Singh said AAP legislators were being targeted by the Modi government everyday.
"AAP MLA Tanwar's number came today (Wednesday) morning, let's see who is targeted till evening," a sarcastic Singh tweeted.
"Are so many consistent attacks on AAP justified? Are all the criminals of the country in the AAP?" Singh asked.
The raid on Tanwar's residence will add fuel to the already bitter political war between the AAP and the Modi government.
About a dozen AAP legislators have either been arrested or facing charges in various cases since the party took charge in Delhi on February 14 last year
