Militants Trade Gunfire With Security Forces In J&K's Lolab; Search Operation Underway
Security forces and militants came face to face in the woods of Lolab valley in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. No encounter has been reported.

Kupwara: A brief exchange of gunfire between security forces and militants took place in the woods of Lolab valley in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this morning following which intensive searches were launched. Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar also confirmed the report. "A brief exchange of gunfire took place between security forces and militants in the woods of Lolab", he said. He refuted the claims about any encounter in the area, adding that after a brief exchange of gunfire only searches are underway.
