In a shocking incident, three cities in Maharashtra reported a fire incident each, just hours apart on Thursday morning. The massive fires occurred in Thane, Mumbai and Pune early Thursday. The blazes have been brought under control and there have been no reports of any casualties although there has been a heavy loss of property. The first incident occurred in a scrap godown in Bhiwandi town of Thane, where the fire created total chaos among the people, while no loss of life or casualties were reported, the fire seems to have spread very quickly.
"Massive fire broke out at a scrap godown in Bhiwandi town of Thane earlier this morning," said an official of the Thane Municipal Corporation, according to ANI. Upon receiving the information, four fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire.The cause of the fire could not be ascertained quickly.

The second fire broke out in a commercial building in Mumbai. The blaze was caught in Chembur’s Swastik Chamber, according to ANI. Four fire engines were sent to the spot and the fire in the building was doused after a lot of efforts. Around 33 people were safely rescued by firemen from various places such are parapet walls, rooms, terraces and staircases, according to ANI. While no casualties were reported, the reason behind the incident remains unclear. The news agency stated that further investigation is underway to understand the cause behind the fire.
Meanwhile, in Pune, just an hour later, a massive fire broke out in a furniture warehouse in the Bhawani Peth area of the city. According to ANI, the fire broke out at 4 am on Thursday. Similar to the previous two incidents no casualties were reported. "Massive fire broke out at a furniture warehouse in Bhawani Peth area of Pune City at around 4 am today," an official of the Pune fire department said.
After the fire department received the information, they quickly reached the spot. According to the information, several shops and godowns including four residential houses were gutted in the fire. Following the incident, at least 18 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and took out 10 cylinders from the warehouse to limit further damage, ANI reported.
