Manish Sisodia "finally" gets Centre's permission to visit Moscow

Earlier during the day, the Delhi education minister said the state's education reforms have been getting international press coverage in past few months.

New Delhi: Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said he was "finally"given the consent by the central government to attend the World Education Conference in Russia. Sisodia said his application to attend and speak at the conference was lying pending for nearly 10 days due to which he could not board the Moscow-bound flight on Monday night. Calling it "unfortunate", Sisodia lamented about the delay on Twitter. However, he received the approval this morning. On Twitter, he said "It would be my privilege to represent India's knowledge legacy in front of world's edu. ministers & help them know- how it can help in making the world a better place to live." Earlier during the day, the Delhi education minister said the state's education reforms have been getting international press coverage in past few months. Hitting out at the prime minister on the social networking site, he said, "It’s unfortunate that PM Modi doesn’t want this to reach int. platforms. Sir! Delhi is also part of India! If our schools get international recognition, it’s a matter of pride for India!"
