Delhi man repeatedly rapes neighbour for 2 years, arrested

New Delhi: A 35-year-old woman residing in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area was repeatedly raped by her neighbour for a period of two years, till she finally broke her silence and reported the incident to her family. The accused who owns a mobile phone recharge shop, met the woman on regular basis as she visited his recharge shop. According to the complainant, after meeting her for a multiple times, the neighbour took her out for lunch, “spiked” her drink and raped her. After allegedly raping the 35-year-old, the accused asked her to remain quiet and threatened her, warning her of the consequences that she would have to face if he reveals their story. Thereafter, the accused neighbour repeatedly raped her. After being raped for two long years, the woman finally managed to gather courage and narrated the whole incident in front of her family. After lodging a complaint against the shop owner, the cops probed into the matter and finally arrested him.
