Maharashtra: Portion Of 2-Storey Building Collapses In Mumbai; Rescue Operation Underway
As per the early reports, four people have been rescued and sent to a hospital so far. Meanwhile a search and rescue operation is underway.
Mumbai: In a highly tragic incident, a two-floor Bhanushali chawl building at Fort collapsed earlier on Thursday afternoon. The building is located at Abdul Hamid Marg in Malad area of Mumbai.
Upon acknowledging the incident, four fire engines, one rescue van and an ambulance was soon rushed to the spot. As per reports, the incident took place around 4:30 pm at the Bhanushali building in Mumbai's Fort near Lucky House.
Reacting on the incident, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant told reporters, "I have heard that repair work was underway at the building. The families still in the building will be evacuated."
