According to his briefing, the encounter took place while the local police team was conducting a search operation at Dhanora, located in the Elevenbatti forest area of Gadchiroli district, located around 920 km from Mumbai, on Saturday morning.

At the same time, last Thursday, the police arrested Mangaru Mandvi, a rewarded Naxalite worth 2 lakh, from this area. According to the police, several cases of murder and attacking the police were registered against Mangaru.
