Maharashtra ATS team has arrested two people for possessing 7kgs of Uranium. The Maharashtra ATS team trapped the perpetrators after they were looking for a potential buyer for Uranium. The expected price of Uranium is estimated at around 21 crores in the international market. Uranium is considered a rare element and is highly radioactive. It is used for making nuclear explosives.

Maharashtra ATS team got the element tested from the research lab and it was certified that the possessed material is Uranium and is of pure quality.

As per information gathered by ABP News, the nabbed people got their Uranium tested from a private lab to check its purity. Now, the Maharashtra ATS team is trying to gather information about the private lab helping and abetting criminals. Also, they are trying to ascertain the source, where the nabbed people were able to procure Uranium in such a high amount.
