Nirmala Sitharaman, Giriraj Singh Among Ministers Expected At Maha Kumbh For Holy Dip Today
Several ministers including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh are expected to visit the Maha Kumbh today.

Over the next few days, many leaders including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh and Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu are likely to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela to take a holy dip in Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
On Wednesday, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, will arrive at Prayagraj Junction by train on Wednesday at 2:45 pm after a dip in the river and a tour of the mela he will leave the same night for Bihar by train at 23:43 pm.
Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh will arrive at Bamrauli Airport at 9 pm on Wednesday, he will leave the same night for Delhi after attending a local programme following a holy dip in the Sangam.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu is scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj on February 19, at 2:30 PM by flight. He will take a Sangam bath after which he will be taken to the Bamrauli Airport after the program from where he will depart for Delhi at 5:00 pm the same day.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with her family, is scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj by train on Wednesday at 6:00 am. She will have an overnight stay in the city before departing for Varanasi by car on Thursday, at 10 am.
Laxman Prasad Acharya, Governor of Assam, is scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj from Varanasi on February 19-20, 2025, at 12:30 AM (midnight). His itinerary includes a Sangam bath, followed by a tour and visit to Kalidas Shikshan Sansthan, Bikapur. He will leave for Varanasi on Thursday, at 11:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Sunil Gupta, Cabinet Minister of Punjab, arrived at Bamrauli Airport from Chandigarh on February 18 2025 at 8:20 pm. He will take a bath at the Triveni Sangam later a tour has been organised, followed by departure for Varanasi on the afternoon of Wednesday. Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission Chairperson Dr Babita Singh Chauhan arrived at Sangam via car she took a holy dip and a tour, and she will leave on Thursday.
Maha Kumbh has witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with over 550 million devotees taking the holy dip until February 18. As per ANI, on Tuesday, till 8 PM, more than 12.6 million devotees participated in the grand religious event, marking yet another significant milestone in the 45-day-long spiritual congregation.
