Samajwadi Party feud LIVE Updates: Akhilesh's, Ram Gopal Yadav's suspensions revoked

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh’s ruling Samajwadi Party was on Friday on the precipice of a split with party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav expelling his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and general secretary Ramgopal Yadav for six years after they put up candidates against the official nominees and summoned a party meet on Sunday. The quarrel which was being called as ‘ghar ki baat’(family affair) has been escalated and has been sprawling all over. LATEST UPDATES:

• Mulayam Singh revoked the suspension of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, and Ram Gopal Yadav after meeting Akhilesh and Azam Khan at his residence

 

• Senior Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan reached Mulayam Singh's residence with Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and spoke to him about Akhilesh's suspension. The meeting lasted for more than an hour. Azam from the very beginning has been acting like a peacemaker between the two

 

• Lalu Yadav says, "I called Mulayam ji and told him that he has to gather the bits of his party and revoke sacking of Akhilesh as he is your own son"
