Leela Hotel In Gurugram Evacuated After Bomb Threat Call, No Suspicious Object Found
The call was received at Leela Hotel around 11:35 am. The police were immediately informed following which bomb disposal and dog squads reached the hotel.
Gurugram's Leela Hotel, located in the Ambiance Mall complex, was evacuated after a bomb threat call was received on Tuesday. However, it turned out to be a hoax call and the caller has also been traced, police said.
Gurugram Police said the caller was suffering from autism and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
"A hoax call was made to a private hotel in Gurugram today afternoon. Police reached the hotel, evacuated it and started investigation. Caller was found to be a 24-yr-old person," ANI quoted police as saying.
The call was received at Leela Hotel around 11:35 am. The police were immediately informed following which bomb disposal and dog squads reached the hotel and evacuated the residents, PTI reported. More than a hundred guests were staying in the hotel.

After receiving the call, the hotel immediately raised the number of security personnel.
The call was made to the hotel's receptionist. "There was a male voice that said a bomb will explode in the (Ambience) mall," sources told IANS.
A senior police officer said that the threat call to the hotel was made from a mobile number that was found switched off.
Police then traced the mobile's location in a hospital in Sector 47, belonging to a mental patient who is undergoing treatment.
Vikas Kaushik, ACP, DLF, said no suspicious object was found and an FIR was registered.
"The hotel premises were searched by a dog squad. Bomb disposal squad was also called. No suspicious object found. FIR being registered. Action to be taken against the unknown caller," ANI quoted Kaushik as saying.
On Monday, Spring Dale School in Punjab's Amritsar received a bomb threat on social media, following which the school authorities lodged a complaint with the police.
A message uploaded on social media on Monday evening read that there would be a blast in Spring Dale School on September 16 .
The threat came four days after the DAV Public School got a similar threat, which later proved to be a prank made by three students of the school.
