Weather Update: IMD Predicts Dense Fog Conditions In Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Uttarakhand
Weather Update: Light rain likely over Northeast India, parts of Tamil Nadu, and Kerala during the next 5 days.
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday has stated that dense fog conditions are very likely to prevail in parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next five days. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and northeast Rajasthan are also likely to witness foggy conditions in the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, western disturbance is persisting as a trough over the middle and upper tropospheric levels. At the same time, a cyclonic circulation lies over the lower tropospheric levels over northern parts of east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas.

Solid wind speed arriving at 25 to 35 kmph is likely over Punjab, Haryana, and West Uttar Pradesh during the next five days.
Dense fog shrouded parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Northwest Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar on Thursday. On the other hand, light to moderate fog was observed in isolated parts of Delhi and isolated parts of East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal along the Ganges and Tripura.
The minimum temperature remained above normal in most parts of the country and the minimum temperature remained near normal in the rest of the country.
The higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh witnessed light snowfall on Thursday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally dry weather in the two union territories during the next 24 hours.
