Kerala Exit Poll Results 2021 Highlights: Kerala in most instances witnesses a power shuffle between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) as parties usually failed to win two consecutive terms in the last four decades.
Polling in Kerala was done in a single phase unlike Assam and West Bengal; on April 6. Kerala is among the five states that went to the polls in March and April. The other four are Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Union Territory of Puducherry. Assam and West Bengal had multiple phases.
Assam had three phases while West Bengal had 8 - the final phase is underway today.
Kerala went to the polls on April 6 to elect 140 legislators and counting will take place on Sunday. Around 73.58% of the total 2.74 crore voters exercising their franchise on the day of polling. On Wednesday Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, reiterated to the media that none needs to build castles in the air. He had just come out after chairing the last cabinet meeting.

Kerala Exit Poll Results 2021 LIVE: What Makes Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Confident?
When asked what makes him confident about victory over UDF, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan replied: "My confidence is I know the people of Kerala well". "If there are others who are also confident, all I would say is, let them be...." he added.
Vijayan was interacting with the media as part of his daily routine of giving out the Covid figures for the day.

"In Kerala, it's a straight-forward electoral battle between the incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). According to the exit poll, the ruling LDF expected to retain the southern state of Kerala and thus buck the trend of defeating the incumbent every electoral cycle," C-Voter's states about the projection.
