Kashmir logjam: After PM Modi, Rajnath Singh to apprise President Mukherjee of the situation

New Delhi: After chairing an all party meet to find a solution to the Kashmir unrest, Home Minister Rajnath Singh will now be meeting President Mukherjee in the National capital on Wednesday  at 6 pm to end the ongoing logjam. Home Minister had also lined up meetings with the Army Chief Dalibir Singh and Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi ahead of his meeting with the President. Yesterday, Singh apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the current situation in Kashmir after returning back to Delhi from a two-day visit to the state. The central government has decided to take a hardline posture vis-a-vis separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir and may soon order scaling down of their official security as well as other steps, said informal sources here on Tuesday. This comes after the all party delegation returned from Kashmir without a breakthrough after the separatists refused to meet them.
