In a significant move to bolster dairy farming in Karnataka, the state government has decided to increase the selling price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs 4 per litre/kg. The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the move aims to support milk producers by addressing the rising costs of production and processing. K. Venkatesh, Karnataka Minister for Animal Husbandry said, as per ANI, "In a Karnataka cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, it was agreed to increase the selling price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs.4 per litre/kg in order to encourage dairy farming in the state considering the cost of milk production and processing.
