“Another exposition of Congress' hypocrisy on #FarmLaws. Here is a tweet by @ShashiTharoor in 2010... And now #Congress thinks exactly the opposite,” Javadekar posted on Twitter while attaching Tharoor’s earlier tweet.

Soon after Union Minister's claim, Tharoor took to Twitter and dejected the claims made by Javadekar by sarcastically throwing light on what he had wrote and said it would be “better for a Minister of Information and Broadcasting to stop Broadcasting Misinformation this way”.

“Prakash-bhai, Does my tweet mention or imply anything about removing MSP or amending ECA to allow hoarding? Or aren't you aware of farmers’ demands? Surely it’d be better for a Minister of Information & Broadcasting to stop Broadcasting Misinformation this way. @PrakashJavadekar,” he tweeted.

Javadekar’s outburst against Tharoor comes just days after an FIR was registered against him besides others for their alleged misleading tweets during the farmers’ Tractor Rally on Republic Day.

The Congress and BJP have so far been at loggerheads over the three farm laws promulgated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait said the farmers’ protest will extend till October 2 and if the new farm laws will not be repealed by then, the farmers will decide their future course of action.

He made the remarks while addressing a meeting at Ghazipur on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border after the ‘chakka jam’.
