Security forces uncovered a terrorist hideout on Sunday in a village located in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. The operation resulted in the discovery of eight Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), two wireless sets, and a quantity of ammunition, officials confirmed.
The recovered materials were found in a significantly corroded state, suggesting that the hideout had been utilised during the period when terrorists were active in the district, over two decades ago, before it was liberated from militancy, said officials cited by news agency PTI.
They claimed that after a search operation at Azmatabad village in the Thannamandi area, 30 km from Rajouri town, police with Army support discovered the hiding place, PTI reported.
