Jammu & Kashmir: 2 JeM Militants Killed By Security Forces In Anantnag Encounter

Jammu & Kashmir: Two Jaish militants including a commander were killed and a lady injured in a gunfight with security forces in Srigufara area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district. Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar while confirming the incident said that two militants including a Pakistani were killed in an encounter. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession including 2 AK 47 Rifles and huge quantities of ammunition.
Pertinently, 130 militants have been killed so far this year in the Valley.

As the joint team reached near the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.
On July 11, security forces foiled a major infiltration bid by Pakistan backed terrorists as the Indian Army gunned down two militants on Saturday along the Line of Control (LoC) in Naugam sector of North Kashmir.
The security forces deployed along the LoC in North Kashmir's Naugam sector detected suspicious movement and swiftly launched an ambush to kill the two militants, defence spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.
