J&K: Two Terrorists Gunned Down By Security Forces In Anantnag. Incriminating Materials Recovered

The officials said that incriminating materials including arms and munitions have been recovered from the two terrorists, adding that the two had been involved in several terror crimes. 

New Delhi: Two terrorists have been gunned down during an encounter in Jammu Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, said police officials, reported news agency ANI. The encounter took place in Shitipora and Bijbehara areas of Anantnag.

The officials said that incriminating materials including arms and ammunitions have been recovered from the two slained terrorists, adding that the two had been involved in several terror crimes. 

“Killed terrorists identified as Ishfaq Ah Ganie resident of Chakwangund, Anantnag & Yawar Ayub Dar, resident of Dogripora, Awantipora, affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM. The duo were involved in several terror crimes,” said Kashmir IGP. 

Earlier this week, three terrorists belonging to the Jaish e Mohammad terror outfit were killed in an enconter with the security forces at the Najibhat crossing in the Kreeri area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI had reported.  

One personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir was also killed in the crossfire. 

The three Jaish militants were identified as Haneef, Ali Bhai, and Shah Wali, all of them being residents of Pakistan. 

As per Kashmir Police, 22 Pakistani militants have been killed so far this year in separate encounters.
