The police have seized four properties spanning 14.8 kanals of land, valued at over Rs 28 lakh, belonging to the three PoK-based terrorists. The attachment of their properties was part of the efforts to tackle the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory, an official told news agency ANI.

The seized properties belong to Najab Din and Mohammad Latif of Kirni village, and Mohammad Bashir alias Tikka Khan of Qasba village. These terrorists have fled to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and are actively engaged in promoting terrorism, disturbing peace and threatening social harmony in the Poonch district and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir, ANI reported citing officials.

An official told news agency PTI that the action taken highlights the "firm commitment of police to take strong action against individuals involved in terrorism and activities that disrupt social harmony."

The attachment proceedings were carried out by a police team along with revenue officials. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Poonch, Shafket Hussain, stated that the police remains steadfast in its resolve to end terrorism and ensure peace and stability in the region, PTI reported.

On February 28, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had seized properties of five operatives of terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen in the Ramban district.

The five terrorists whose properties were attached include Saraj Din of Sangaldan, Reyaz Ahmed of Dalwah, Farooq Ahmed of Banj Bhimdassa, and Mohd Ashraf and Mushtaq Ahmed of Moila. They had reportedly crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and are operating from there.
