'It Will Help People Getting Correct Information': PM Modi Refers To Upcoming Movie On Article 370 In Jammu

PM Modi blamed Article 370 for impeding progress in J&K, and stated that the BJP administration was responsible for abrogating it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the upcoming Bollywood film Article 370 at a public gathering in Jammu on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi stated: "I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week. It is a good thing as it will help people in getting correct information." PM Modi blamed Article 370 for impeding progress in J&K, and stated that the BJP administration was responsible for abrogating it.

Accusing previous governments of engaging in "dynastic politics" in the former state of Jammu & Kashmir, PM Modi stated: “Jammu and Kashmir had to bear the brunt of dynastic politics for decades. They are only concerned about their families, not about your interests, your families. I am happy that Jammu and Kashmir is getting freedom from this dynastic politics.”

The Prime Minister stated that Jammu and Kashmir has been heading toward "balanced development" since the repeal of Article 370, and that it has ensured the people of J&K of social justice for the first time.

PM Modi stated that the BJP government fulfilled the promise of "one rank, one pension." Taking a swipe at Congress over the scheme, PM Modi stated: “The previous governments never respected our soldiers. Congress government kept lying to our soldiers for the past 40 years that they will implement one rank, one pension. It is the BJP government which fulfilled this promise."

Prime Minister Modi arrived in Jammu on Tuesday morning. He launched multiple development projects, including those related to education, railway, aviation and road sectors, worth over Rs 32,000 crore.
