Int'l Travellers Have To Upload Repeat RT-PCR Report On Air Suvidha App | Check New Guidelines

MoCA designed and launched the Air Suvidha platform in August 2020.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) said that all overseas travellers to India will have to upload their repeat RT-PCR test on the Air Suvidha portal after completing the seven days mandatory home quarantine.

MoCA has designed and launched the Air Suvidha platform in August 2020.

The ministry further said that the Air Suvidha is a contactless and self-declaration digital platform that includes data that passengers must fill out in accordance with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare rules.

Taking to Twitter, MoCA said, "Please note that there is no fee charged on the Air Suvidha portal. Air Suvidha is the only platform for filling the self-declaration form as prescribed by the guidelines of MoHFW. Don't click on any other URL which may mislead you or pay any fee."

"Air Suvidha is a user-friendly platform. Passengers can easily fill-up the form. Keep the required information ready while entering the information. Air Suvidha Portal can also be accessed on your mobile. Self-declaration form on the portal can be filled anytime before boarding," the ministry further adds.

As per the fresh guidelines, if the traveller tests negative on the eighth day, they will have to monitor their health for the next seven days.

'At-Risk' Nation

Only travellers from "at-risk" countries were previously subjected to isolation.

The government has identified 19 "at-risk" countries, including Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia, and Zambia. The United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hong Kong, and Israel were also among the countries on the list.

RT-PCR testing is mandatory for all travellers from these countries upon arrival. Before leaving, they must wait for the results at the airport.
