Indore Teacher Thrashed, Paraded With Blackened Face For Writing Love Letter To Teen Student
Police have arrested the teacher under IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act provisions.
Indore: In a highly shocking incident, a 24-year-old teacher working at a private school in a village in Indore (Madhya Pradesh), was thrashed, tonsured and paraded with his face blackened for allegedly harassing a Class-8 student and writing her a love letter.
The incident took place in Khedi Sihod village on Saturday, the video of which has gone viral on social media. Taking a note of the incident and the viral video, police have arrested the teacher under IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act provisions.

News agency PTI quoted Manpur police station in charge Hitendra Rathod saying as, "the teacher is accused of stalking the girl, who studies in the same school where he teaches, and he had recently sent her a love letter. The accused also threatened the 15-year-old girl that her family would face the consequences if she rejected his advances."
The official further informed that the locals who beat up the teacher and paraded him with a tonsured head and blackened face have also been booked. A probe has been ordered in the matter while 8-10 people involved in the act are being identified.
