In the viral video, a masked solider, sitting inside a truck, can be heard saying that if people are not safe in bulletproof vehicles, how can they send us in non-bulletproof vehicles.

New Delhi: A video of Indian Army soldiers allegedly complaining about how their senior officers are playing with their lives by sending them in non-bulletproof trucks went viral on social media on Saturday. With the hashtag Pulwama, several Twitter users shared this video questioning the government and authorities of putting lives of such soldiers at sake. He further alleges that their lives are being putting at stake. When opposed by other solider accompanying him in the same truck, the soldier says our commander will not say anything about it. He also alleged that Officer Commanding (OC) along with five other officers of his rank travel in bulletproof vehicles while 10 more soldiers can be adjusted in his vehicle. Frustrated with the arrangements and facilities given to soldiers like him, the officer hits at the truck and says even a stone or pebble can damage such vehicles. Later in the video, another soldier who was shooting the conversation in his phone, turn the camera towards himself and says that the arrangement for soldiers like him is pathetic. He can be heard saying that OCs and other commanders travel in bulletproof vehicles and ask company to travel in non-bulletproof vehicles. Watch the viral video below: The video was also shared by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who said that soldiers are being sent to become martyrs in non-bulletproof trucks while the government has Rs 8,400 crore aircraft for the Prime Minister. It is to be noted that after the gruesome Pulwama attack last year, which killed as many as 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers, the Indian Army said that it will procure mine-protected vehicles (MPVs) and 30-seater buses to ensure safety of its troops and convoys in Jammu & Kashmir. Even the Home Ministry had announced that all jawans and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) men deployed in the Valley will be allowed to take commercial flights while going to join their duty or coming back homes on leave. In February 2019, 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in a IED laden car driven by a Adil Ahmed Dar, a Jaish terrorist. Later in April last year, a similar failed attempt of exploding IED happened in Banihal in which Hizbul terror module was said to be involved. Several other attempts have been made by various terror outfits and cases of conspiracy are being investigated by NIA.
