J&K: Indian Army Foils Another Attempt By Pakistan To Smuggle Weapons Into Kashmir
The Indian Army has foiled another attempt by Pakistan to smuggle weapons into Jammu and Kashmir.
New Delhi: The Indian Army thwarted another attempt by Pakistan to smuggle weapons to Kashmir. The action was taken on Monday, October 12 by the troops deployed at the Tangdhar sector of North Kashmir. During a joint search operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police, a bag filled with weapons was found in a location close to the Line of Control (LOC).

The bag contained five Pistols, ten Magazines, and 138 rounds of ammunition. A similar cache of weapons was discovered on October 9 by Indian troops deployed at Keran Sector of North Kashmir. There the security forces recovered four AK 74 Rifles, eight Magazines, and 240 AK Rifle ammunition.
Even while the global Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has begun deliberations regarding Pakistan’s compliance with international anti-terrorist financing norms, the country has continued to support terrorism by abetting the smuggling of weapons across the Line of Control.
