Indian Army conducts surgical strikes post terror attack by Pakistan in Uri, Kashmir

Director General Military Operations (DGMO) and JS (XP) Vikas Swarup addressed media on Thursday and gave a detailed report on India’s response to Pakistan post Uri attacks.

• Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC, significant casualties have been caused: DGMO

 

• DGMO said that “It has been a matter of serious concern that there has been many infiltration bids by terrorists at LoC”

 

• India’s DGMO called Pakistan DGMO on Wednesday night and informed about them about India’s surgical strikes

 

• DGMO said that Pak kept ignoring India’s persistent urge to not allow territory under its control to not be used for terrorist activities. “The motive of this operation was to hit out at the terrorists who were planning to infiltrate into our territory”

 

• No Indian causalities during surgical strikes that were carried out in Pakistan territory last night by the Indian Army

 

• The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of NSA Ajit doval

 

• Heavy damages have been caused to terrorists; many of them have been killed

 

• Indian armed forces ready for any contingency: DGMO
