Indian Air Force MiG 27 crashes near Rajasthan's Jodhpur, Pilot escapes unhurt
Immediately after the incident, the fire brigade and police reached the spot. The fire brigade made attempts to douse the fire.
New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a Indian Air Force MiG crashed at Banar’s Devaliya village near Rajasthan’s Jodhpur. As per the reports, the pilot behind the wheel escaped unhurt.
The incident took place at about 40kms from Jodhpur.
Immediately after the incident, the fire brigade and police reached the spot. The fire brigade made attempts to douse the fire.
Soon after the crash, the pilot could be seen lying on the ground as he ejected safely. Thick smoke emanated from the spot, as villagers rushed to the site.
As per the sources, the crash took place during a routine mission. The Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry which will investigate the cause of the accident.
As per sources, the incident didn’t leave anyone unhurt as the crash took place at an empty land, which is farmer’s land. Eyewitness Champalal said that two-to-three fighter planes were flying when one of them was seen emanating smoke.
