India, China 14th Military Meet: Hopes For Constructive Talks During Senior Highest Military Commander Level Talks

New Delhi: India is looking for a constructive dialogue in the upcoming round of military commanders' meeting with China on Wednesday.

The 14th 'Senior Highest Military Commander' level talks between both countries will be held at the Chushul-Moldo meeting-point in eastern Ladakh at 09.30 am in the Chinese territory.

The military leaders of both sides are expected to discuss the remaining disputed areas of the LAC adjoining Eastern Ladakh. India is looking forward to constructive dialogue to resolve the issue, according to the ABP News sources.

The meeting will be held between the two countries after the last talks ended without any breakthrough. The discussions were held in October last year.

In the meeting on Wednesday, there is a possibility of talks on the disengagement in the hot spring and other disputed areas on the LAC adjacent to eastern Ladakh.

Lt Gen Sengupta will lead the India delegation. Lt Gen Sengupta, who took over from Lt Gen P G K Menon as the commander last week, was also present at the 13th meeting when Lt Gen Menon had led the Indian side.

In the last three rounds of talks (ie 11th, 12th, and 13th) there has been disengagement in Finger Area, Kailash Hill Range, and Gogra, but in Hot Spring, Demchok, and Depsang Plain, the situation remained tense between both sides.

This meeting also comes at a time when many propaganda videos were released from China on the occasion of New Year's flag hoisting in Galwan Valley where it reiterated not parting away with its land.

On its part, India also released pictures of soldiers stationed at the Indian Army's Observation Post in Galwan Valley holding the national flag and reiterating its stand.
