New Delhi: The Embassy of Israel in India, in partnership with Indian security forces, conducted a comprehensive joint security drill in New Delhi last week. The drill involved various agencies, including the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Delhi Police, the National Security Guard (NSG), and local emergency services such as the fire department and the traffic police. Elite units from these agencies, along with their Israeli counterparts, participated in simulated terrorist incident response scenarios during day and night sessions.

In a demonstration of international cooperation, the exercise, held at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, tested and refined the coordination, communication, and operational procedures of the participating agencies as they practised response strategies to counter potential terrorist incidents. The Delhi Traffic Police managed traffic control in the area, ensuring minimal disruption during the exercise.

The joint security drill showcased the strong cooperation between Israel and India in addressing security challenges and enhancing preparedness for potential terrorist incidents. The collaboration exemplified the countries' commitment to global security, by refining their coordination, communication, and operational procedures, and highlighted the benefits of sharing best practices in counter-terrorism operations.
