IED, Narcotics Recovered Near Rajouri's Nowshera Sector In J&K
Two pistols, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and heroin were among the recoveries made by the troops from the forward area of Lam in Nowshera sector during an early morning search operation
New Delhi: Army troops along the Line of Control (LoC) recovered small arms and narcotics from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, said officials on Sunday, reported news agency PTI. Two pistols, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and heroin were among the recoveries made, they said.
As per the report, the recovery was made by the troops from the forward area of Lam in Nowshera sector during an early morning search operation, they added.
The operation was still going on and further details were awaited, the officials said.

On Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police busted illicit arms and ammunition in Hangnikoot. Among the recoveries made included, one AK 47 rifle with 2 magazines & 75 rounds, 10 grenades, 26 Ubgl grenades, 8 UBGL boosters, 2 Flame throwers, 5 Rocket shells & 3 rocket boosters.
An FIR was registered and investigation was launched into the matter, said the police.
