Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai on Saturday summoned former ICICI Bank MD and CEO Chanda Kochhar, along with Videocon's Venugopal Dhoot, for questioning in connection to the ICICI Bank-Videocon loan case. Earlier on Friday, the ED had carried simultaneous raids at the residences of former Chanda Kochhar and Venugopal Dhoot in connection with the alleged irregularities and corrupt practices in sanctioning loan to the tune of Rs 1,875 crore loan to the corporate group. The agency carried out search operations in Kochhar's south Mumbai and Dhoot's Aurangabad residence. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had also searched Nupower Renewables and Dhoot's office in Mumbai and Aurangabad. This was the first time that the ED conducted a raid at the Kochhar residence. The ED had registered a case of money laundering in February on the basis of a CBI FIR. In January, the CBI had raided four locations in Mumbai related to the case.
