New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed on Thursday morning in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, IAF officials tweeted. In the plane crash, the pilot was ejected safely, IAF tweeted.
IAF on its official Twitter handle writes, "An IAF Mirage 2000 aircraft experienced a technical malfunction during a training sortie in the central sector this morning. The pilot ejected safely. An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident."

IAF has said that further investigation of the matter will ascertain the cause behind the accident.
"The pilot ejected safely before the aircraft crashed in Mankabagh village of the district," Bhind Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Singh was quoted by PTI in its report.
Earlier last month, two pilots succumbed to their injuries after an Indian Army helicopter crash-landed on a hill in the Shiv Garh Dhar area, near Patnitop tourist resort in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district.
J-K LG Manoj Sinha post this incident offered his condolences to the families of the deceased. “I salute the courage and supreme sacrifice of our braveheart Army officers Major Rohit Kumar & Major Anuj Rajput who laid down their lives in the line of duty at Patnitop, Udhampur. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief,” he tweeted.
