I salute Sidhu ji’s courage: Kejriwal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Monday hailed Navjot Singh Sidhu for his courage after he resigned from Rajya Sabha. He wrote on Twitter: “People can give their rt hand (sic) for an RS seat. Ever seen a sitting RS MP resigning to save his state? I salute Sidhu ji for his courage.” BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned from the Rajya Sabha amid talk of his joining the AAP, said on Monday that "in the war of right or wrong, you can't afford to be neutral". "In the war of right or wrong, you can't afford to be neutral rather than being self-centred. Punjab's interest is paramount," he said in a statement. Sidhu said he had accepted the Rajya Sabha nomination at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "I had accepted the Rajya Sabha nomination for welfare of Punjab. With closure of every window leading to Punjab the purpose stands defeated, now a mere burden. I prefer not to carry it," he said.
