J&K: Hizbul Militant Shot Down In Encounter, Police Recover AK-47 & Two Magazines
Recently, the Kashmir valley has seen a surge in violence, Wednesday’s gunfight is the third in four days in the village. On Sunday, a militant was killed in a gunfight in South Kashmir’s Awantipora.
New Delhi: During an overnight encounter in Pulwama, Security forces shot a militant named Feroz Ahmad Dar who belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen. After joining the terrorist organization in 2017 Firoz was involved in many terrorist activities.
They recovered one AK 47 and two magazines for AK 47 from Feroz Dar. In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces are hunting down and killing terrorist commanders in encounters.

News reports revealed that a joint team of police and army launched a nocturnal cordon and search operation in the area. As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
“PulwamaEncounterUpdate: 01 unidentified terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow,” tweeted J-K Police.

On Monday, two militants were killed in a brief shootout at Rangreth, on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
The Lashkar commander was killed on Wednesday morning followed by the Hizbul commander in the night.

So far in the month of December, more than 10 terrorist commanders have been killed, whereas, in Jammu and Kashmir, 366 terrorists were killed till November 2021 after the removal of Article 370.
