Gujrat witness intense heat wave, mercury rises to 40 in Surat

SURAT: Residents of Surat are seeking respite in water parks from the calescent heat. The intense heat wave is making another round to Gujarat with the temperature crossing 40 degree Celsius in most places. With the maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius yesterday and 40 degrees last week, Surat has been in the clench of a heat wave for the past week. The reported minimum temperature has been 25 degree Celsius. Though the temperature has been showing a constant rise since the beginning of the season, but the maximum temperature suddenly boiled last week. In the past, the maximum temperature touched in Surat in the month of May was 42 degrees. (WITH ANI INPUTS)
