DDMA To Meet On February 25, Covid-19 Restrictions May Be Relaxed Further

Covid-19 Restrictions in Delhi: A crucial meeting of the DDMA is scheduled to be held on February 25, in which many restrictions related to Covid-19 are being considered to be relaxed.

New Delhi: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is scheduled to meet on February 25 over relaxing Covid-19 restrictions in the national capital. Looking at the declining cases of covid-19 restrictions are likely to be relaxed further in Delhi.

It is believed that a decision on the relaxation in Delhi may be taken in the upcoming meeting. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and others will be present at the meeting.

The night curfew in Delhi is currently in force from 11 pm to 6 am, while malls cannot be kept open after 8 pm. The DDMA had on February 4 allowed the mall to be kept open till 8 pm.  In the past, a group of businessmen had also written a letter to CM Arvind Kejriwal in this regard.

It may be recalled that the Delhi government had decided to reinstate the cancelled holidays of government employees after there was a drop in Corona cases. At the same time, DDMA had also allowed cineplexes and restaurants to operate with 50% capacity.

Major Restrictions In Delhi At The Moment

Currently in Delhi night curfew and metro restrictions are imposed. Under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), there is currently a 'yellow alert' in the capital.

According to an official, the 'yellow alert' may be lifted in the meeting scheduled on February 25, which could lead to a relaxation of several restrictions. At the same time, these major restrictions are in place in the capital.
