Goa Mosques, Churches To Remain Shut, For Now

Association of All Goa Muslim Jamaats President Shaikh Bashir Ahmed said the decision to continue with the closure of mosques was taken due to a sudden spike in coronavirus cases in the state.

Catholic and Muslims account for nearly a third of the state's 1.5 million population. The state has 130 active cases at present, including nearly two-third from South Goa's Vasco town.
