Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Admitted His Gang Conspired & Killed Sidhu Moose Wala: Police

After interrogating Bishnoi, a team of the Delhi Police Special Cell reached Nepal, sources told ABP News. This comes as the police suspect that all the shooters have fled to Nepal after the killing.

New Delhi: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has told the investigators that his gang members, including Canada-based Goldy Brar, conspired, planned and killed Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, the officials on Friday said.

After interrogating Bishnoi, a team of the Delhi Police Special Cell reached Nepal, sources told ABP News. This comes as the police suspect that all the shooters have fled to Nepal after the killing.

Bishnoi, who is presently in custody of the Delhi Police Special Cell, has alleged that Moose Wala was involved in the killing of Akali Dal youth leader Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky Middukhera on August 7 last year which led to a “rivalry” between him and the Punjabi singer, PTI reported officials as saying.

The officials said that Bishnoi has been very uncooperative and not yet disclosed the names of his gang members, who were the real conspirators behind the killing.

“Bishnoi has been very uncooperative so far. But during interrogation, he accepted that he had a rivalry with Moose Wala and claimed that his gang members killed the singer,” the news agency quoted the officials as saying.

A police official said Bishnoi has revealed that “Goldy Brar was one of the gang members who conspired and executed the killing of Moose Wala”.

The official said Bishnoi has not yet disclosed the names of other associates, who were the “real conspirators and executioners of the killing”.

The official further said Bishnoi has not disclosed the “exact motive behind executing the killing and has been uncooperative about revealing other details about the murder”.

The Delhi Police Special Cell, which is probing the matter, got Bishnoi’s custody for three days after arresting him from Tihar Jail in a case registered under the Arms Act.

Bishnoi, who is facing nearly 60 cases, was in central jail number eight of Tihar Jail.

The officials said Bishnoi was produced at the Patiala House court after questioning in Tihar Jail.

The officials added that he was remanded in three days of police custody for questioning in connection with the case where three criminals were arrested after a brief encounter with the Special Cell's unit last month.

The arrested criminals, a senior police official said, had during questioning disclosed that the weapons recovered from them were supplied by Bishnoi.

This came a day after a Delhi court refused to entertain a plea filed by Bishnoi seeking a direction to the jail authorities not to give his custody to the Punjab Police, which suspects that he had plotted Moose Wala’s killing.

Gangster Kala Jathedi and his aide Kala Rana, who were in police custody in a different case, were also questioned in connection with the Punjabi singer’s killing.

The 28-year-old singer was shot dead by some unidentified attackers in Punjab’s Mansa district last month.

This took place a day after the Punjab government curtailed his security cover.
