Eyes On Upcoming Assembly Elections, BJP's Leadership Meet Begins. PM Modi To Deliver Final Address

Following the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, the party is holding its national executive meeting for the first time.

New Delhi: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is going to undergo an extensive discussion regarding the party's strategy for the upcoming assembly elections during the party's national executive meeting today. Following the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, the party is holding its national executive meeting for the first time.

The 124 national executive members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president J P Nadda and various Union ministers will be in-person attending the BJP's national executive meeting today, while the members from states including the Chief Ministers will be joining the meeting virtually following the covid-19 protocol, said the party's general secretary Arun Singh while addressing the press conference.

Among important national issues, the upcoming assembly polls scheduled to be held next year will also be discussed during the meeting, he added.

It is expected that at least one political resolution will be passed at the meeting. Prime Minister Modi will deliver the final address that is likely to shape the party's view on various issues. BJP President J P Nadda will deliver the inaugural address.

As per the PTI reports, BJP will also pass a condolence message for those who succumbed to the battle with covid-19.

The party is also expected to discuss the results of the recently held bypoll in three Lok Sabha and 29 assembly constituencies spread across 13 states and one Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Of the 29 states, the BJP had won in around half a dozen constituencies earlier, the Congress had nine, while the rest were with regional parties.
