EVM Hacking Case: ABP News probe reveals claims made by hacker Syed Shuja are weak, fallacious

In the wake of claims about EVMs being hacked in 2014 general elections, made by a self-proclaimed cyber expert Syed Shuja, ABP’s investigative team carried out a detailed probed into the matter and revealed some startling insights, which made the claims of the hacker rather weak and fallacious.

New Delhi: The EVM hacking scandal which erupted a heated political battle between the ruling BJP and Congress over the electronic voting machine machines being alleged tampered during the 2014 General elections has set the political tempers soaring ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Here are some insights which the ABP investigative team got from carrying out a detailed probe into Syed Shuja's claims Claim 1 - Did Syed Shuja ever work or associated with ECIL in Hyderabad  ? While the ECIL authorities in Hyderabad did not come out openly in front of the camera about whether Syed Shuja worked with them, they certainly revealed to ABP’s investigation team that no person by the name of Syed Shuja worked with them. Claim - 2 Was there an attack carried out on Syed Shuja in Hyderabad ? When the ABP team inquired with the Hyderabad police, if any report pertaining to an attack on Syed Shuja had been filed with them, they clearly denied about any complaint filed with them in the matter. Claim - 3 Were eleven of Syed Shuja's friends shot dead in Hyderabad ? The third claim made by Shuja over 11 of his friends being shot dead also appeared false as there has been no such incident of a mass killing in Hyderabad over the last 5 years. Congress leader Kapil Sibal while addressing the media on Wednesday said that Wind Solution company was carrying out a project on behalf of ECIL. The project had 14 people working in it. On 13th May, eleven out of the fourteen people working on the project were shot dead in a guest house belonging to BJP leader Kishan Reddy.  When the ABP team questioned Kishan Reddy over the incident, he clearly denied any such act committed by him, saying that the 2014 General elections happened at a time when the UPA government was in power and their officials were working. So how could he be associated in the murder of eleven people. Claim 4 - Kaki Reddy Guest belong to BJP leader Kishan Reddy? The fourth claim made by Syed Shuja over Kaki Reddy guest room belong to Kishan Reddy also appeared to be misleading as the latter clearly denied owning any such restaurant Claim 5- Shuja's claims that he fled the country after the General elections and we took political asylum in the US Syed Shuja claimed that he fled India after the General elections, fearing for his life and took political asylum in the United States. As per  his official documents, he resides in Wilmington in the US. The team got to the location and found a three room apartment constructed in an area of 1550 square feet. However, it was still not very clear whether Shuja resided in that particular location. (ABP NEWS is a free to air channel.
